The 23rd Players Championship of the year was a triumph for Dave Chisnall. In the final, he took down Luke Humphries 8-3.
In the list of highest averages of the day, however, Chisnall did not appear in the top three. The highest average came in the name of Dirk van Duijvenbode with 111.55. Van Duijvenbode achieved that average during his 6-4 win at the last 64 against Robert Grundy.

The second highest average was for Gary Anderson. 'The Flying Scotsman' averaged 111.38 during his 6-3 win at the last 32 against Stephen Bunting.
The top three is completed by Christian Kist. 'The Lipstick' won 6-3 over Ricardo Pietreczko in the quarter-finals, achieving 109.20 average.
