Four finals and four wins for Dave Chisnall over Luke Humphries this season with the St Helens ace sealing the 23rd Players Championship tournament of the season.
It was an 8-3 win and with Chisnall missing the opening day of ProTour action after winning Budapest, it was technically back-to-back titles.
Albeit not as high a standard as their greatest ever European Tour final, but still with nearly double figure 180's and now for Chisnall, an impetus towards the World Grand Prix which takes place in Leicester next week.
“I played well today,” reflected Chisnall.
“I got a good lead against Luke there and I didn’t let it slip. I was scoring very well, and even when I lost legs, they were legs I should have won.
“With the way I’m playing, I think I’m due a big title, and it could be next week at the World Grand Prix.”
