"Honestly I loved every minute of it": Price left emotional after special Premier League Darts Cardiff homecoming win

Gerwyn Price sealed the second night of Premier League Darts action defeating Nathan Aspinall 6-3 in the final in Cardiff.
A real homecoming for Price, he was left emotional and lost for words after seeing off not only Aspinall but Michael van Gerwen and Chris Dobey throughout the evening.
“Honestly, I loved every minute of it. I’m soaking it all up,” said an emotional Price.
“I’m lost for words. I don’t get this reception very often, so I appreciate every bit of support. It was fantastic.
“How did I win against Michael [van Gerwen]? Michael outplayed me, but I’ve lost games like that before.
“The crowd got me over the line tonight. I’m not in the best of form. I was playing well before I was ill at the Masters and then I started feeling sorry for myself.
“I’m still not 100%, but I felt better tonight, and hopefully over the next couple of weeks I will get my form back.”

- I don't have a problem with someone being whoever they want to be, but ultimately there is a Ladies and Mens format for a reason. What is going to stop substandard men claiming that they are transgender and entering the ladies format for an opportunity to increase their profile, prize money, ranking etc etc. We know that the current crop of PDC players will suck up to van Leuven and will not speak out.richieburnettrocks23-10-2024
- The bottom line is Beau will be a triple World Champion soon. She is so many levels better than the rest of the ladies. Lorraine and Aileen have never really raised their game, I really expected the quality of the ladies game to have improved but excluding Beau, it seems to have detiorated.
