The opening day of action at the
Czech Darts Open in Prague is complete with
Kim Huybrechts,
Martijn Kleermaker and Karel Sedlacek through.
In two of the results, it was fairly comfortable. Kleermaker against Stephen Bunting last up initially went 5-1 up with an 81 checkout for a 12-darter and looked to be easing to a huge win.
With Kleermaker sat on a potential match winning shot, Bunting showed resolve with a 116 checkout to make it 5-2 and held but Kleermaker finally got over the line at 6-3. This with a 95 average and three 180's.
While Sedlacek squeezed through against Jeffrey Sparidaans 6-5 to delight the home crowd who previously saw Adam Gawlas in particular head home.
But one moment stood out in particular with Sparidaans hitting a 180 to leave 36 on Sedlacek's throw to make it 4-2 but instead, the Czech ace sealed parity with a 170 checkout which sent the crowd into raptures.
Finally Kim Huybrechts pounced all over just a 75 average for Callan Rydz with a 6-1 win over 'The Riot' as 'The Hurricane' swept him aside with a 95 average, four 180's and 46.2% on the doubles.
