Kim Huybrechts could barely match Dimitri van den Bergh in the fourth round of the
World Darts Championship on Friday afternoon. 'The Hurricane' went down 4-0 against his compatriot.
"It is what it is," Huybrechts bemoaned afterwards, speaking to the press. ''I am someone who always tell myself I have a chance, but mentally I was too busy with other things. It's my own fault. If you ask right now after this match how I look back on this World Darts Championship, I can't help but say it's a disappointment."
The two-time major-finalist firmly believed he was going to beat Van den Bergh. ''I had thought I was going to win this match. I know I am much better than this and I know I am worth a quarter-final. I just got caught up in mental stuff, own fault, own fault. I would have rather played against someone else. That's not about Dimitri himself then, he's a top guy. It just didn't work out, you realise that in the long run during the match. Then you're not mentally strong enough either. It's another lesson learned, stupid but this can happen.''
