Huybrechts lost 15 times in a row to Mighty Mike but reversed the stat line today by winning 6-2 with a brilliant display averaging 99.4 in the end but hitting 105 throughout the contest.
It wasn't another match with a huge average defeat for MVG producing 98 just shy of his opponent compared to previous defeats to Ryan Searle, Daryl Gurney and Dirk van Duijvenbode this week all of which have come with Van Gerwen hitting huge averages.
With Peter Wright, Joe Cullen and various other top names also out as well as all but Rob Cross in terms of winners this week, it will be likely a new winner this week at least.
