Peter Wright has recovered well after his defeat on the opening day of the
Grand Slam of Darts. 'Snakebite' defeated Dave Chisnall 5-4 in his second group match to keep his hopes alive.
"I expected it to be a better game but obviously, it wasn't. But it's good that Chizzy didn't turn up otherwise you know, I'd be looking at the next game with two defeats," Wright reflects in his post-match interview with Online Darts. "Now I'm in with a chance. Yes obviously, I'd like to have had a bigger win but that didn't happen. It's still two points."

If I lose, I lose and then I'll go home Wednesday, it's not a problem. Then I've got longer to prepare for the World Championship," 'Snakebite' explains. "If I win this on the way through happy days if not I don't care."
As is often the case with Wright, the 53-year-old Scot once again played with a different set of darts from his last match. "Yesterday it was really warm up on the stage and today it's a lot cooler. So that's why I thought maybe my second setup worked a little bit better," Wright explains.
In his final group game, Wright faces off with Stephen Bunting in a match where the winner will book their place in the next round. "Hopefully I'll win the bull and throw first," Wright previews. "You've got to win the bull (in this short format) unless they start off really terrible like I did yesterday!"
