"It is nice to come away and get some cheers": Price praises crowd after Bahrain final defeat

Gerwyn Price narrowly failed to add the Bahrain Darts Masters on Friday. 'The Iceman' went down 8-6 against Michael Smith in the final.
Price still came back to 7-6 in the final after trailing 7-3 but despite being disappointed, he had praise for the fans on his return after the ear defenders incident.
"Fair play to the crowd. They have been fantastic all weekend and supported everyone and it is nice to come away and get some cheers," said Price.
"I know there are a few English fans in there but you have been really good so thank you."
"I didn't come halfway round the world to lose. I am here to win. I missed a couple of doubles and I will kick myself over that.
"I didn't perform in the final. Michael took his chances and fair play to him for that because that is what champions do."

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
