Luke Woodhouse has qualified for the second round of the
Hungarian Darts Trophy. 'Woody' was too strong for Hungarian Gabor Jagicza in the opening round 6-3.
"The performance wasn't very good but the win is all that matters really," Woodhouse opened. "Hopefully we will do better tomorrow." Next up for Woodhouse in round 2 is a clash with former World Champion, Rob Cross.
"I felt really edgy tonight, I'm not sure why. I've been playing some really good stuff but for some reason they weren't quite going where I wanted tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can relax and play how I have been playing."
With a good performance this weekend, Woodhouse can still qualify for the
World Grand Prix. "I've just got to keep winning games. If I can do that then I've got half a chance," said the 34-year-old Englishman. "If I don't perform better than I have tonight then I'm in trouble so I've got to be better."
