Jacques Labre makes history, becomes first Frenchman to win a PDC Tour Card

French darts is starting to gain more and more foothold in the darts world. On Sunday, the country reached a new milestone in their still early darts history.

Jacques Labre became the first French darts player ever to win a Tour Card at the European Q-School. Labre lost on Thursday in the semifinals to eventual winner Jeffrey Sparidaans. By reaching the quarter-finals again on Sunday, the Frenchman secured a Tour Card.

His compatriot Thibault Tricole, a losing finalist at Lakeside in 2022, also had hope for a Tour Card on Sunday. However, Tricole lost in the first round, putting heed to his chances.
