Jim 'The Quiff' Williams, the 38 year old from Wales made a positive step in his darting career as earlier this year as he started playing in the Professional Darts Corporation tournaments.
The Welsh international has had over 20 career titles before the PDC and this year he has had chance to showcase his ability to a bigger audience.
After already winning his first title in the PDC earlier in the year, Williams referenced how his first year has gone so far and how he feels about his performances on this weeks 'The Darts Show Podcast'
'I've enjoyed
it all but my forms a bit up and down..."
"...I could be
a world beater one day and next thing very average and I don’t know myself"
Williams feels consistency is his issue, however this could be down to other commitments such as his young family that mean more to him at this current time. He has also recently set up a joinery business which he references how he invested into it massively and how much of a priority it is at the moment,
"Basically every penny we saved up went into that so I need to make that work for my family"
Due to these other commitments he mentions how this affects the amount of time he practices and how he can "only pick them up weekend to weekend".
On the other hand Williams say's he isn't taking this opportunity for granted but also has to think of his family too.
"I'm 100%
when I'm here but it is difficult juggling everything, everything seems to come
at one time for me that bits tough"
"I've put a
lot of time in to be here"
Although his other commitments can be strenuous at times the Welshman still believes he can be successful in the PDC and beat the best like he has proven before.
"They're the
greatest players in the world I always thought I could win it" say's Williams.
