Joe Cullen recalls the worst car journey ever featuring James Wilson and cigarettes

Joe Cullen shared details when prompted about the worst car journey ever that he had with fellow darts player, James Wilson and the longest 50 minutes for 'The Rockstar' as he went from Birmingham to Manchester.
Cullen spoke during a 2020 lockdown chat which featured MDA boss, Matt Ward, Chris Dobey, Mark Webster and Nathan Aspinall about this journey from hell which mainly revolved around Wilson smoking and the windows constantly going down at 1am. This also prompted a further story from Ward about sharing a caravan with him.
Very much for Cullen, the offer of a journey home when his flight got cancelled was there and likely he wishes he hadn't had bothered. But it still made for a funny story.
"Birmingham to Manchester is something like 50 minutes. F***ing Jesus Christ. I'd seen something that they like a smoke and bear in mind, it's like one in the morning. Every time I'm dropping off, one of the windows like just passing it (the cigarette)," said Cullen.
"We shared a caravan with him once and it's non stop," replied MDA boss Ward. "I don't think he sweats, I went to bed and he was at the door with a fag and I woke up and he was at the door with a fag."
