Keane Barry won the third tournament of the PDC Development Tour 2024 on Saturday afternoon. He defeated Sebastian Bialecki 5-0 in the final. Barry had already won the second tournament of this circuit on Friday evening and now continued his winning ways.
On his way to the final, Dynamite defeated Vincent Nouws (4-0), Cayden Smith (4-2), Keanu van Velzen (4-3) and James Beeton (4-2) in succession. In the round of 16, Barry took out Germany's Christopher Toondeers 4-2 before defeating Owen Maiden 5-1 in the quarter-finals. After a 5-0 win over Lennon Cradock in the semi-finals, he went through to the final, where the young Irishman impressed with an average of 90.54.
The Development Tour is the youth tournament of the PDC. This tour is open to players aged 16 to 23. Players who turn 24 during the season can still participate.
Prize money of £15,000 is paid out at each Development Tour tournament. The prize money is used to create a ranking list. At the end of the season, first and second place receive an invitation to the World Darts Championship and a tour card for 2025 and 2026. The winner of the ranking list is also allowed to take part in the Grand Slam of Darts.
