Did you know? Top darters Mickey Mansell and Daryl Gurney have had a spot in the Guinness Book of Records for nearly fourteen years because of a special world record they set with six others.
Along with Mickey Taggart, Felix McBrearty, Campbell Jackson, Ronan McMahon, Eamonn McGovern and Thomas Stoga, they attempted to throw a total of 1,000,001 points with a dart team using as few darts as possible from August 21 to 23, 2010.
This attempt was made at The Weigh Inn Bar, a pub in Northern Ireland. The effort ultimately lasted no less than three days. All together, the foursome needed 35698 darts to reach the point mark.
