Kleermaker produces comeback to edge past Smith, Clark returns after technical difficulties to see off Ward

The ninth night of action in the PDC Home Tour is at it's halfway stage with victories so far for Martijn Kleermaker, Michael Smith and Matt Clark.

Kleermaker began proceedings in facing off against Michael Smith and reeled off five consecutive legs from 3-0 down to defeat 'Bully Boy' in a 5-3 win; which saw the Dutchman produce a brilliant comeback to dispel the favourite.

Harry Ward and Matt Clark was next up but it was stopped halfway through; due to the latter having a poor connection. In the meantime Michael Smith and Harry Ward took to the oche; the former claimed his first points of the night.

This was in a 5-3 victory with a 98 average and four 180's as he kept on track to still have a chance to win the group.

Ward and Clark then finished off their tie and it was the latter who picked up from where he left off to claim a 5-3 win. 'Superman' may still have a monumental task though with him playing in the two out of the last remaining three games.
