Boris Koltsov claimed a brilliant straight sets win over Jermaine Wattimena and will now face Dirk van Duijvenbode next up for a spot in the Third Round of the PDC
World Darts Championship.
Having appeared multiple times at the Ally Pally, Koltsov had never had that winning feeling on the stage so was ecstatic to come through.
"That's want all the people want the feeling after the first round because everyone come from around the world and you need to win the first round to feel this atmosphere with all the crowd is with you. It's unbelievable," said Koltsov post match.
He also entertained the crowd with his antics throughout the crowd and spoke about his change of style after the match.
"Before you've never seen me like this, I enjoy the two months before this World Championship and I think Boris just go up on stage and show everyone how is your game and how you prepare before this tournament and that's what I showed today.
"All the people were with me and I turn around and that's why I want to turn the crowd up. I want to enjoy because when I come here in the morning, one of the PDC officials tell me we work for this tournament all year and now you need to show what you do all the year."
