Steve Lennon will return after Christmas to the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship after dumping out Krzysztof Ratajski who was the first big name seed to fall.
Lennon spoke afterwards and was shocked and surprised at how poorly Ratajski played and admitted he was expecting a revival throughout.
"It still hasn't sunk in yet. It probably will when I go back to the hotel or something, surprised with the result. I didn't think he'd play the way he did. It's nice to finally beat him," said Lennon post match.
"His scoring power wasn't as good as it usually is but I knew I had to capitalise on it."
He still hasn't decided as of yet though if he will go home for Christmas with growing fears of further restrictions due to the Omicron variant.
"I haven't decided that yet, I'll decide that tonight. I'm not 100% sure, but I'll be back anyway. It could be (a gamble)."
