The Masters 2020 is the usual start to the season in the PDC and is next up from January 31 to February 2. Before the event, we take a look at the highest averages in the history of this tournament.
Michael van Gerwen has won five editions of The
Masters and has thrown the four highest averages ever at this event. Number one is his average of 112.49 which he threw in the final of the 2015 Masters against Raymond van Barneveld.
He went close to eclipsing his own record in 2016. MVG hit an average of 112.20 in a 10-1 win over Stephen Bunting and has also hit other high averages of 111.14, 110.28 and 109.42 all in the top ten.
Phil Taylor is the only other player to hit over 110 in the tournament in 2014 when he hit a 110.05 against Wes Newton.
The highest losing average goes to Dave Chisnall which is number ten in the list. He hit 108.09 but lost in 2015 against Van Gerwen in the Quarter-Finals.
