The top averages have been revealed from the World Matchplay with Peter Wright topping the statistics with the top two highest in the showpiece event in Blackpool.
Wright hit the top mark of 104.57 during the Quarter-Finals where he lost out to Daryl Gurney in a thrilling contest and then also hit 103.01 in the round before showing his form as the tournament went on.
Nathan Aspinall is next with 102.96 in the first round despite 'The Asp' losing out in the end to Mervyn King. Peter Wright (once again) and Daryl Gurney close out the top five.
Michael van Gerwen despite not hitting a 100 average still appears with his 98.67 effort in losing to Glen Durrant. All but the last five are over 100 but most of the averages are from the first round.
This in turn shows the standard at the beginning of the tournament and that as usual nerves played a part as the tournament went on.
