Lowe reacts after gaining PDC Tour Card at Q-School: “I’m totally shocked”

Jason Lowe is a Tour Card holder for the first time after winning through on Day One at PDC UK Q-School.
Lowe most recently competed in 2017 where he showed a taste of how good he is in various qualifiers and a European Tour in Hamburg.
The West Midlands ace spoke afterwards and was understandably in shock about what he’d achieved especially considering he only entered last minute.
"I'm totally shocked," said Lowe. "I only entered at the last minute and there's nobody more shocked than me today - I've played well and I'm thrilled.
"I've had some fantastic averages but in some matches I've missed some doubles and I've been lucky in a couple of games, but you need a bit of luck.
"I've got to up my game to stand a chance but I'll put the practice in, and I'm looking forward to it."

- I think with players above those mentioned in the rankings that haven't qualified for the Worlds in 2023 and haven't done so this year (players like Whitlock, King etc) they are guaranteed to stay in the top 64davetat18027-11-2024
- It is simply not true to say that these 5 players are guaranteed to keep their Tour Cards. At least Karel Sedlacek, Dylan Slavin and Stephen Burton are in danger of losing them, especially if they fail to win their first round match. - Where the hell is Lorraine Winstanly? You can't have a World Championship without Lorraine Winstanly. Even Anastasia is missing Beau was disappointing at the Grand Slam but cannot see her getting beat at Lakeside.
