Two legendary figures of Dutch darts,
Michael van Gerwen and
Raymond van Barneveld met on Saturday night at an exhibition match in Norwich. The two darting giants dished up a high-quality match to the fans in attendance.
Van Barneveld and Van Gerwen battled it out in a match played over a format of the best of 15 legs. The crowd got their money's worth too, as all 15 legs were played. In the end, the victory went 8-7 to Van Gerwen, who posted an average of 102. 'Barney' himself, by the way, threw an impressive average of 101 per turn.
In addition to the two Dutch former world champions,
Ricky Evans and
Jonny Clayton were also present at the event in Norwich. This exhibition match was won 6-2 by Evans. Those in attendance were also graced with the presence of darts legend Bobby George. The Englishman provided entertainment with his iconic walk-on, and played some legs against some fans.
