Michael van Gerwen joins discussion; is 147 in snooker or nine-darter in darts more difficult?

For years, especially on social media, there has been a debate about what is the most difficult achievement; a hole in one with golf, a nine-darter in darts or a 147-break in snooker.

Michael van Gerwen was recently a guest on JaackMaate's podcast. The podcast host asked Van Gerwen for his opinion in this point of discussion. The answer of "Mighty Mike" caused surprise to the British YouTuber.

''There's always that discussion about which is more difficult. I think the 147 is the hardest, one hundred percent,'' Van Gerwen stated. JaackMaate had not counted on that answer. He had expected the Dutchman to opt for a nine-darter as a darter.

Van Gerwen then explained why he resolutely chose 147. ''Because so many more factors have to be right. I think the hole in one is the easiest one. I know people who have hit a hole in one and probably have a handicap of 15/16. I think someone who is an average darter or something, can't hit a nine darter. I don't believe that,'' Van Gerwen said.
