PDC Europe President, Werner von Moltke has revealed that on the 2024 edition of the European Tour, Switzerland will be the holders of an all new event.
Speaking to Online Darts in Riesa at at the 100th Euro Tour event, the International Darts Open, von Moltke said the following. "It's been quite journey and quite a development looking back to how it started. But the journey isn't over yet.
"This was always my goal to be honest. If I didn't have that vision I wouldn't have started," continues the PDC Europe President. "It's getting more international. The plan is to get more countries in. Now the European Tour we are in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, next year we will be in Switzerland that's for sure."
When questioned which are of Switzerland is on the cards for next year, "Zurich," von Moltke replies assuredly before casting an eye towards other future countries. "We are looking at Italy, Spain, France now also but it has to fit into the calendar."
