Devon Petersen has been in a serious form slump lately. It is time according to darts commentator Jacques Nieuwlaat to change course.
Petersen was last season a semi-finalist at the European Championships and was knocking on the door of the top 16 in the Order of Merit, meanwhile now he has fallen back to 25th place.
"But at the moment I don't even count him among the best 64 players in the world. He is a player with huge peaks and troughs. A while ago he was working with Wayne Mardle and then he was doing better, maybe he should pick that back up," Nieuwlaat said on the Double Trouble podcast.
"But that's not all," Nieuwlaat continued. "Petersen has only been selling shirts, arrows and flights lately. He urgently needs to realize that his profession is darts. That's something too many players tend to forget."
