No trouble for Ryan Searle at World Darts Championship in reaching third round

Ryan Searle will be Joe Cullen's opponent in the third round of the World Darts Championship. 'Heavy Metal' easily won 3-1 in sets over Tomoya Goto on Saturday night.
The Japanese had caused a surprise in the first round by eliminating Ian White, but played not at that level against Searle. The former major finalist won the first two sets and seemed to be heading for a straight-sets victory.
However, thanks to a 97 finish in the third leg, Goto still managed to grab a set. Searle then put things right by winning the third set 3-0, securing his spot in the last 32 at the World Darts Championship. He will now return after Christmas with a Last 16 spot in his sights.
