PDC President Barry Hearn responds to Cullen's tweet regarding Premier League omission: "Yours was a tough call, sure you will bounce back"

Joe Cullen shared his dismay at being omitted from the Premier League Darts line-up despite being a width of a wire away from winning it last year.

Instead, Jonny Clayton returns and there are debuts for Chris Dobey and returns for Dimitri van den Bergh and Nathan Aspinall with the latter three in particular courting controversy.

Especially over Cullen, as well as Ross Smith, Danny Noppert and Luke Humphries.

PDC President, Barry Hearn who still being on the board despite being retired of course was involved in the picks and he said it was a 'tough call' but tipped him and Luke to bounce back.

“As with Luke [Humphries] yours was a tough call. Sure you will bounce back Into PL this season So good luck,” wrote Hearn.
