Players Championship Order of Merit after 28/30 tournaments as race to Minehead hots up

We are nearing the end of the Players Championship season. By now, 28 of the 30 Players Championship tournaments have been played and the field of participants for the Players Championship Finals is beginning to take shape.

At the end of the season, the top-64 of the Players Championship Order of Merit may compete in the Players Championship Finals in Minehead. Later this month, the final two Players Championships will be completed.

Leading the rankings is Chris Dobey, who currently stands at £94,500. This leaves 'Hollywood' behind the likes of Stephen Bunting (£87,000), Damon Heta (£78,500) and Dave Chisnall (£76,000).

Luke Littler and Gary Anderson are also in the top 10. Michael van Gerwen after spending most of the season towards the bottom has collected two titles in recent memory to give himself a boost. Further down Peter Wright, Rob Cross and Nathan Aspinall are only just narrowly in the top 64 and could yet miss out. I’d they do get in it will likely be early play for the trio from the opening session in Minehead due to how it is seeded.
