Price admits lack of match practice a factor in Premier League restart after Anderson win: "You need games to get yourself going and I just need to play more regularly"

Gerwyn Price bounced back after defeat to Nathan Aspinall with a brilliant win over Gary Anderson to alleviate his Premier League relegation fears.
Price spoke after his 7-1 victory over Anderson and admitted that the lack of match practice due to lockdown has played a part.
"I just want to prepare and try to win," said Price following his victory over Anderson.
"I'm playing well, I just need to be a little bit more confident. Having five months off, you need games to get yourself going and I just need to play more regularly."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
