Price on Williams after German Darts Open scare: "With a bit more experience, games like this he can finish off"

Gerwyn Price recovered to see off Lewy Williams and reach the Last 16 of the German Darts Open on Sunday afternoon and post match he was full of praise for his compatriot.

"I was 3-1 up, not sure that I deserved it but he was banging in 180's especially on his throw first pitch puts me under pressure everytime but yeah thankfully I had that lead as I needed it towards the end," said Price.

"Lewy's a fantastic player and with a bit more experience, games like this he can finish off but he sort of slipped off towards the end."

Since the World Cup of Darts win, not only have Price and Clayton come on but other Welsh talents and 'The Iceman' believes not only Welsh darts but worldwide it is in a good place.

"I like to think that Jonny and I have inspired those sorts of players, not just those but the younger generation as well. Not just in Wales all around the world, darts is in a good place."
