Price sets sights on Premier League play-offs after staving off relegation: "I've got a chance now to get into the top four""

Gerwyn Price has turned round his Premier League campaign this week so far and will now be in the second phase after claiming a brilliant whitewash win over Jermaine Wattimena.
Price is now aiming for the top four after sealing his fate and he was glad to punish an out of sorts Dutchman and take his chance.
"I never thought I'd go out today and it was going to be very unlucky for me not to go through, but after I won a leg I knew I was safe," said Price. "I played a bit better today and I'm happy to win again.
"Jermaine was scoring okay in patches but was nowhere near his best, and I punished him. I felt good but it's always easy when you're scoring well and someone's two or three darts behind.
"I took my chances and that's all that matters. I've got a chance now to get into the top four and hopefully it keeps going in the right direction."

- Maybe the supposed top players are burnt out from the endless travelling and tournaments, I just don't think they have the dedication or outright desire to win. I think they are more interested in the money and being popular, just keeping their rankings steady. The only thing that mattered to Phil Taylor was winning, not winning a few games to top up the money pot and seeking the fans attention. Maybe there is too many tournaments now and the enthusiasm is gone. This year especially has seen so many different winners and unexpected draws and line ups.richieburnettrocks14-11-2024
