Prize Fund breakdown World Matchplay 2019: record amount of £700,000 on offer

The World Matchplay is the next tournament on the agenda which takes place between 20 and 28 July. There will be an increased prize fund of £700,000 for the prestigious event in Blackpool.
All 32 participants in the event will receive at least £10,000. A victory in the first round earns those involved £ 15,000. The quarter-finalists at the World Matchplay get £25,000 and the semi-final losers will earn £50,000.
By reaching the final, they will earn at least 70,000 pounds. The winner comes away with £150,000, an increase of £35,000 compared to last year.

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
