Stephen Bunting has qualified for the quarter-finals at the
Grand Slam of Darts. 'The Bullet' was 10-4 too strong for Danny Noppert at the last sixteen.
Bunting did not even have to reach his best level against a lacklustre Noppert. "Danny really struggled and I think I got caught up in his game to be honest,” reflected Bunting. “I’m delighted with the result, but not with the performance. In the practice room I was hitting everything, and I felt really confident tonight, but it just didn’t happen."

Stowe Buntz, against whom he was defeated earlier in the group stage. "Stowe is a fantastic player. When I played him the first time I didn’t really know what to expect, but now I know how good he can be, and I can promise you that I won’t play like this again.”
Bunting finally addressed a thank you to the Wolverhampton crowd. "The crowd were unbelievable as well tonight. They were all chanting my name which really helped and it wasn't my worst ever performance on the stage but it definitely wasn't my best."
