Nathan Rafferty claimed his PDC Tour Card on the final day of PDC UK Q-School losing to Josh Rock but doing enough to win it through the Order of Merit.
It was a last gasp triumph from Rafferty who had a horrid end to the year luck wise with multiple opportunities to claim a Tour Card not going his way.
"I'm actually so relieved. I had a good back end of the year with the Grand Slam and World Youth Championship. I put too much pressure on myself the last few days and I think I was coming here the most confident I've ever been," he said to the PDC.
"Bad three days, one point. I just said get to the final and win it and you're going to get it so that's what I was basing it off."
But overall, he was just glad to shed the Q-School burden and move onto the PDC Tour.
"It's been bad here the last few years, I don't like going Q-School at all but I was happy to put three or four good games together, put myself into the knockout stages because I know I'm dangerous when I get to the Last 16 stage. I'm just happy, I'm over the moon."
