Callan Rydz is into the Quarter-Finals of the PDC
World Darts Championship after seeing off Alan Soutar as the run of 'The Riot' continues with an excellent victory for the Bedlington ace.
"I was a bag of nerves before the game started because I thought and Alan probably thought, it's a great chance for the Quarter-Final but when I lost the first set I settled down and I just thought that's the best thing then the pressure's off of me winning every set by nil. After that, it shows how strong I am where as last year when I played James (Wade) I went 1-0 down, my head went right from the get go," said Rydz post match.
When asked about only being a few games away from the title, it's still not on his mind.
"It sounds amazing but it's game by game. I can't focus on the semi-final or whatever, I'm just one game at a time now."
A new found fame has awaited Rydz due to his displays and he revealed the extent of this.
"It's something different. I normally have my Instagram on private and I looked yesterday, I had over 1,000 requests. I should really take it off private."
