After the World Cup saw the darting action start at 11am for the last two days, the PDC
World Darts Championship returns to normal programming on Monday.
It will start just after midday once more with
Andrew Gilding involved after a stellar year which has seen 'Goldfinger' become one of the most consistent players on the PDC Tour. He will face Robert Owen who has returned to the PDC Tour as of next season after a superb year on the Challenge Tour.
'The Mullet'
Danny Jansen defeated Andrew Gilding in that final and the young Dutchman will make his debut in the tournament when he faces the third player from the Philippines involved in this year's tournament in Paolo Nebrida who was due for his PDC bow at the World Cup previously but issues with vaccine paid heed to that. But he will make it to London and will aim to take down Jansen who has qualified by virtue of that title alone with results diminishing since then.
Another Dutchman follows with
Niels Zonneveld facing rising Welsh ace, Lewy Williams with the second round tie seeing
Jose de Sousa facing
Simon Whitlock in a standout clash.
