Saturday sees the top 16 seeds enter the fray at the German Darts Championship. During the afternoon session, the first eight matches of the second round will be played at the Euro Tour tournament in Hildesheim.
In the first match of the afternoon, Gian van Veen will take on former world champion Rob Cross, while Danny Noppert and Jules van Dongen will also face off at the German Darts Championship.
Dirk van Duijvenbode will meet George Killington in the second round. Ryan Searle will square off against Martin Lukeman, while Damon Heta faces Darryl Pilgrim. There is also a clash between Josh Rock and Stephen Bunting, and Jonny Clayton will take on Nico Kurz. Concluding proceedings will be sorted by Ross Smith and Daryl Gurney on Saturday afternoon.
In the UK, the European Tour will be shown on PDCTV as usual, with DAZN and Viaplay in other territories also having the coverage. Sessions start at 12pm and 5pm respectively on all three days.
During each Euro Tour tournament, £175,000 in prize money is distributed. All qualifiers are guaranteed £1,250, while the top-16 players on the German Darts Championship's placement list will receive £2,500 anyway. However, these 16 players must win their first game in the second round for the prize money to actually count toward the world rankings and other rankings.
Per victory, the prize money earned increases. For example, the finalists already receive a minimum of £12,000. The winner of the tournament goes home with the top prize of 30,000 pounds.
