Martin Schindler surprisingly reached the semi-finals at Players Championship 6 on Sunday. After a surprising tournament run, he was in the last four with Jim Williams, Danny Noppert and Ricky Evans.
However, Schindler lost in the semi-final to Williams, who then also won the tournament by beating Ricky Evans in the final. The German looked back on his semi-final after the tournament.
''What a weekend,'' he began his post on Facebook. ''Sunday started very modestly. My muscles and shoulder still had to warm up a bit at the beginning. Fortunately, I got through the first match well and even reached the semi-finals.''
In the semi-final against Williams, however, nerves got the upper hand. The nervousness was my biggest opponent. Despite the nerves, I got some chances, and delivered a good match.''
''Apparently I have to wait a little longer to take a step further, but I will keep working hard to win such matches in the future,'' Schindler said.
