Martin Schindler booked his place at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship by winning the PDC Europe Super League on Thursday night.
Schindler spoke afterwards after he survived two match darts from Hempel in a thrilling deciding leg before pinning the winning double at the fifth attempt which saw him book his Alexandra Palace return.
"I thought I had blown it, I gave Florian the chance to come back and made it a lot harder for myself," said Schindler.
"But who cares? I won and that is all that matters, I'm over the moon.
"I'm happy with how I have performed over the last six days and it is a big relief to qualify for the World Championship early in the year."
