Scotland are the final team through to the Quarter-Finals at the
World Cup of Darts seeing off Portugal in a pairs decider.
John Henderson started proceedings off by easing past Vitor Jeronimo who performed better than yesterday but counting issues saw him suffer.
Henderson doubled his lead early on including a 76 checkout to break in the opening leg as he looked to take the early initiative for Scotland.
He went one away pinning double eight at 3-0 before holding his throw once more to seal the deal and hand the early initiative to Scotland.
But it was Jose de Sousa in his captains role that sent it all the way to the pairs decider as he saw off World Number One,
Peter Wright in a 4-3 win.
In doing so, he hit three 180’s and a 97.6 average. But he returned to his prior difficulty counting as he busted 181 with a 180 and this was an image that preceded defeat for Portugal who were swept by Scotland 4-0.
