Ryan Searle is into the Quarter-Finals of a major for the first time in his career after defeating Luke Humphries in the second round of the
World Grand Prix.
"I enjoyed that. That was a great game, I'm glad Luke didn't play at the start like he did at the end, that 2-0 lead gave me a good cushion going forward and I can't wait for the next round," said Searle post match.
The new Eclipse Ultra board though came under some scrutiny with it having to be changed multiple times and he discussed that.
"The board was soft, we changed it before the match started. The second board was a bit soft as well and we managed to get the third board on."
He also spoke about big names heading out with one in particular still involved in Gerwyn Price and his dream of playing him in the semi-final as well as his next goal as he rises the rankings.
"The man of the moment Gerwyn Price is in my half of the draw so he's the man to beat in this tournament. I'd love to play him in my first semi-final."
"I'd like to get to the top 16 but I'm in no rush. I'd like to be here for the next 10-15 years rattling away."
