Sherrock on World Championship aspirations: "Once I'm there, the end goal is to win it"

Fallon Sherrock was a guest at Uttoxeter racecourse on Wednesday and was interviewed as part of that as she begins preparation to play in the upcoming Women's Series.

Sherrock will aim to avoid her disappointment last year and return to the site of her World Championship history making exploits in 2019.

Among the topics, she was asked about becoming World Champion one day and like most players, the Milton Keynes ace was aiming high.

"Can you imagine? That'd be amazing. My ambition is to try and get to the World Championship again and once I'm there, the end goal is to win it," she said on Sky Sports.

At the World Championship, she became synonymous with the phrase smashing the glass ceiling and she hopes to break down more barriers in the future.

"A lot of the dart players they are very nice and are very welcoming and obviously this is what I want, more women to play the game so it isn't such a stereotype because it's not just a man's game, it's a women's game as well. You just don't see it that often.
