After taking the inaugural Women's World Matchplay title last year, Fallon Sherrock is keen to ensure a return to the Winter Gardens and retaining her title.

"I've definitely got a target on my back. No matter how well I play I end up getting everyone's best game against me at the moment," she tells Online Darts. "As long as stay in those rankings I'll be happy and I should stay in there."

The 28-year-old Englishwoman won the inaugural Women's World Matchplay last year, beating Aileen de Graaf in the final 6-3. "I can guarantee that I'm not going to go down without a fight. I'm going to put as much practice in as possible," she concludes.

Fallon Sherrock has been a pioneer for ladies darts. Her record playing against men on the big stage is evidence of that. Winning the first ladies World Match play championship and more recently the first 9 darter in the ladies game. Beau Greaves has been very dominant in the ladies dart world off late BUT she has yet to match the same results as Fallon when playing the men. Players have their ups and downs. Just ask Peter Wright. Fallon is good for the sport and brings a touch of grace and class. Hopefully she can find her most positive groove in the months ahead.

Fallon, you're half the player Beau Greaves is. If you get to the final, it will be an achievement, but you don't beat Beau.
