Michael Smith made it a double of PDC
Winter Series titles with victory on Day Two in Coventry defeating Jose de Sousa in the final in Coventry.
Smith produced a comeback to defeat De Sousa and he spoke afterwards and admitted the shackles are off and also that despite going behind, he knew he'd get a chance.
"I'm going to echo what I said yesterday. It's the confidence and belief in myself and finally picking up that title yesterday meant the pressure was off. I didn't do much wrong today, I was checking out finishes when I needed to," said Smith post match.
"He's a classy player. He showed that all the way through that match but if he goes 4-1 down, I just turned around and looked at pictures of my kids and I thought yesterday against him I was 3-1 down and I managed to reel off consecutive legs and go 6-3 up. I just thought, he's going to give you a chance and make sure you take it."
