Smith pays tribute to Belgian crowd after victory over Huybrechts: “I expected to be given so much abuse but all credit to you”

Michael Smith breezed past Ronny Huybrechts 6-1 at the Belgian Darts Championship but came out of proceedings not only pleased with his performance but the crowd.

Smith took to Twitter afterwards at the Belgian Darts Championship to pay tribute to Huybrechts and the crowd who he massively praised.

He will now hope to count on their support as he takes on Michael van Gerwen shortly.

“What a gent Ronny is and all credit to the Belgium crowd, I expected to be given so much abuse but all credit to you all. Thank you for showing respect to us both,” said Smith on Twitter.
