Van Gerwen not resting on his laurels ahead of final day in Hasselt: “There can be no mistakes”

Michael van Gerwen is through to the third round after coming through his opening test at the Belgian Darts Championship against Mike de Decker.
Van Gerwen has Michael Smith next in the Belgian Darts Championship knowing that he can’t rest on his laurels; despite what was a good performance last time out which nearly yielded a nine darter.
“Very happy with my victory tonight. Now it’s a huge day ahead tomorrow, so now my rest is important as there can be no mistakes tomorrow,” said Van Gerwen on Twitter.
“Thank you for all the great messages today,” he added.
