Jeff Smith qualified through the first US Darts Masters and North American Championship qualifier on Tuesday night with 'The Silencer' in imperious form throughout defeating the likes of Matt Campbell and David Cameron in the latter stages.
Smith claimed victory in the 2018 North American Championship and he will be back to defend his title before taking part in the US Darts Masters.
He reacted afterwards and said how pleased he is to be involved in the field; he added that he showed his experience in the final which he won 4-3 against the impressive Campbell who reached the Quarter-Final in the second qualifier.
"It's phenomenal for me," said Smith. "I'm so pleased - my finishes were good and when it came the time to hit, I hit, so I'm happy.
"I showed a little bit of my experience in the final. I could see he tensed up a little bit at the end there, and it's all about exploiting the situation.
"I've been around a long time playing darts and you know when it's time to put the foot on the gas, and luckily I did that in the last leg."
