Michael Smith and Jonny Clayton will play the final on Night Nine of the Premier League Darts in Berlin.
Smith took an early 3-1 lead against Nathan Aspinall in his semifinal. 'The Asp' is known as a fighter and lived up to that reputation once again by clinging on until 4-3. However, with a 10-darter on his own leg, Smith made it 5-3 and thus needed just one more leg for the win.
After missing several matchdarts, Smith saw his opponent come back to 5-4. But in the next leg "Bullyboy" managed to finish it off with double 20.
In the final later tonight, Smith will take on Jonny Clayton, who defeated Gerwyn Price 6-4. In a high-stakes match, things were tied until 2-2. Then Clayton managed to break for the first time and after he hold throw and 'The Ferret' took a 4-2 lead. The next two legs were split cleanly, allowing Clayton to already smell victory at 5-3.
Price, who could've won a Premier League for the third week in a row, then made it 5-4. But on his own leg, Clayton finished it off on double 12.
