Song in arena during Nordic Darts Masters made Wright emotional: "It's my daughter's anniversary and she sung that to me"

With ease, Peter Wright managed to win the final of the Nordic Darts Masters. He beat Gerwyn Price 11-5, after 'Snakebite' managed to take a 5-0 lead early in the match.

There was one moment when Wright was momentarily thrown off guard, but it was not because of Price. It was caused by a song played in the hall during a break.

During the intermission, Robbie Williams' song 'Angels' was played and it brought back fond memories for Wright.

“I feel really good, apart from in the break there…,” he said in a post-match interview. “It’s my daughter’s anniversary of her wedding and they played Angels on stage. And she sung that to me.”
