Standings in Group B-D-F-H after second group matches at Grand Slam of Darts 2023: Price, Aspinall and Rock first to secure progression to knockout stages
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Price was in imperious form to destroy Ryan Searle with a 5-0 thrashing whilst Aspinall backed up a nervy victory over Beau Greaves in his opening match with a 5-2 win over Damon Heta. For Rock, a 5-1 win over an out of sorts Jonny Clayton was enough to lock in his spot in the last 16.

At the other end of the scale, both Gian van Veen and Berry van Peer have been eliminated. Van Peer was close to a shock Sunday afternoon against Chris Dobey, but had to concede 5-4 to the Masters champion. 'Bionic' had already lost to Clayton. That result leaves Van Peer without a chance of reaching the last sixteen. Clayton and Dobey have yet to face each other, which is an instant knockout match. Two defeats for Van Veen meanwhile has left the Dutchman hopeless in Group D with Ryan Searle and Nathan Rafferty set to fight for the remaining spot.
In Group F, in principle everything is still open, although Danny Noppert has the best papers. The Freeze' won his first two group matches and needs a maximum of four legs in his last match against Brendan Dolan to go through. If Haruki Muramatsu wins from Andrew Gilding, Noppert will need fewer legs. Muramatsu can only advance if he wins at least 5-2 from Gilding, but even then he still depends on Dolan's result against Noppert.
