Teams for Hungary, South Africa and Portugal at World Cup of Darts set

The pairings for Hungary, South Africa and Portugal at the World Cup of Darts have been announced. Each country consists of two players, who together form a pair during the country tournament.

On behalf of Hungary, Patrik Kovacs and Levente Sárai will compete at the World Cup of Darts. Vernon Bouwers, who previously competed in 2019, will be the teammate of Tour Card holder Devon Petersen in Frankfurt. Luis Ameixa will make his debut at the World Cup of Darts on behalf of Portugal. He forms a team with José de Sousa.

Recently it became clear that the format for the World Cup of Darts has been changed. A total of forty countries will participate in the country tournament and only pair matches will be played.

Moreover, the tournament starts with a group stage. The group stage consists of twelve pools of three countries each. The winner of each group will advance to the knockout phase. The four top nations England, the Netherlands, Wales and Scotland are already through.
